A tractor’s PTO output stub rotates at a fixed shaft centreline \u2014 horizontal, aligned with the tractor’s longitudinal axis. The implement’s gearbox input shaft has its own fixed centreline, which may be slightly offset from the tractor’s PTO centreline in height, lateral position, and angular alignment \u2014 and that misalignment changes continuously as the tractor moves over uneven ground, turns, and as the three-point hitch height changes. A rigid shaft connecting the two would bind, vibrate, and fracture within minutes. The double-cross-joint design of the EP-L Series is the engineering solution to this problem.<\/p>\n
